Where does the dirt go?

When steam cleaning, a washable cloth is attached to the accessory of your choice. This cloth helps the steam reach a higher temperature and picks up the dirt as you go. Just replace the microfiber cloth when it gets saturated by dirt or water.

How do I sanitize a surface with a steam cleaner?

Steam cleaning is contact cleaning. Use the Triangle or Floor Tool with a cloth directly on the surface to sanitize it. Using the lance from a distance or without insulation will cool the steam and prevent sanitization.

How wet is the steam?

Neat produces steam with a relatively low water content (5%) that enables surfaces to dry within seconds. It’s normal for the hose to emit water droplets when it's cold at the beginning of use.

How hot is the steam?

Neat's superheated steam can reach up to 275°F/135°C. The steam will be hottest when properly insulated with a cloth on the attachment, and will cool significantly without insulation/as the distance from the tip increases.

Are there any surfaces I should not steam clean?
